Just as Janie was about to scream, Tommy’s head popped up.
“What were you thinking Tommy?” cried Janie. “Were you trying to test God?”
“No!” he yelled. “I just thought if Peter could do it, so could I.”
“But Peter asked Jesus first if he could walk out on the water,” said Rafael as he quickly pulled him back on the boat. “Peter was trusting in Him for help.”
Tommy’s face turned red. He was too embarrassed to say anything more.
